TULSA, OKLA. – The Oral Roberts baseball team used a quick start to grab the series finale over North Dakota State 9-6 Sunday afternoon.

Jack Schark hit two solo homers in the win bringing his total to four on the season, tied for second on the team.

The Golden Eagles bats got off to a scorching start scoring four times in the bottom of the first with an RBI single from
Makani Tanaka driving in
Will Edmunson and back-to-back homers from
Wailele Kane-Yates and Schark to take a 4-0 lead.

The Bison responded in a big way combatting ORU's first inning with five runs of their own in the second to take their first and only lead of the game.

Oral Roberts didn't waste much time responding loading the bases in the third inning setting up
Martell Davis to clear them with a double reclaiming the lead 7-5.

The bases would be full of Golden Eagles again in the fifth for
Cooper Combs who drew a walk scoring
Matthew Mainord to extend the lead to three. In the sixth, Schark got back to it hitting his second solo shot of the afternoon.

Right hander
Dalton Patten kept the Bison offense at bay with 4.1 scoreless innings of relief allowing two hits, two walks, and striking out five batters.

NDSU would grab one more run in the ninth but
Conner Floyd shut the door picking up his fourth save of the year, sealing the 9-6 win.Â
