#ORUBase Captures Series in Run-Rule Fashion Over Omaha

TULSA, OKLA—The Oral Roberts baseball team used another quality start to capture the weekend series on Saturday winning 10-0 in seven innings.
 
Right-hander Nathan Love picked up his third win of the season tossing 6.0 scoreless innings giving up just two hits, three walks, and striking out four.  It's the second straight game in which a Golden Eagle starter has gone at least six innings and given up one run or fewer.
 
The Golden Eagles came out hot taking the lead early and never giving it up in the win opening the scoring in the second with a Keaton Campbell RBI single scoring Jack Schark.
 
The runs would keep coming in the third when Wailele Kane-Yates surpassed the 20 RBI mark with his two-run single.  Later in the fourth, Will Edmunson cleared the yard for the fourth time this season with a three-run homer stretching the lead to 6-0 after four.
 
After a 1-2-3 fifth, the ORU offense loaded the bases and got run number seven with a Kane-Yates walk. 
 
After Jared Ure came out of the bullpen and threw a scoreless seventh Martell Davis called game with his sixth homer of the season, a three-run shot bringing the Golden Eagles to the run-rule threshold of up 10 after seven innings.
