OMAHA, NEB. - The Oral Roberts baseball team homered a season high four times to defeat Omaha and win the series finale 8-5.

Four homers is the highest total in a single game for ORU this season, the most in a game since March 18th, 2023, when they did it against St. Thomas.

The Golden Eagles got going right away, scoring in the first inning for the fourth time in five games as Cooper Combs went deep for the sixth time this season.

Both teams were quiet on offense with good starting pitching from both sides, but ORU got going again in the top of the fifth.  Jack Schark stepped up with two on and hit one into the ORU bullpen beyond the left field fence for his sixth homer of the season, making it a 4-0 ballgame.

The home run theme continues for the Golden Eagles as Ethan Fender hit a solo shot in the sixth, his fourth of the season, and Keaton Campbell blasted a three-run shot in the seventh inning, his second of the year, to make it 8-0.

Omaha stormed back in the home half of the seventh inning, sending 10 to the plate and scoring five runs on six hits to get back within striking distance.

Conner Floyd entered the game in the eighth inning with two outs and got out of two-out trouble and eventually shut the door in the ninth as ORU captured the series finale 8-5.
