TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team and head coach Kory Barnett have announced the addition of freshman guard Laymen McGrady to the 2025-26 roster.
"We're thrilled to add Laymen McGrady to the ORU family," said Coach Barnett. "He's a high-level shooter with great feel and upside. His work ethic and skill set align perfectly with our vision for the future of this program."
From Sugar Land, Texas, McGrady is the third freshman to sign with the Golden Eagles for the 2025-26 season joining Cal Furnish and Martins Kilups. The 6-4 guard played high school basketball at IMG Academy, a national powerhouse, located in Bradenton, Flordia. Prior to IMG, McGrady played at Fort Bend Christian Academy in his hometown of Sugar Land, Texas.
McGrady is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady.
