TULSA, Okla. – Associate Head Coach Kory Alford has been named to Silver Waves Media's 100 Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistant Coaches and GM's list, it was announced on Monday.

"Kory is one of the brightest minds I've had the blessing to be around," said Head Coach Kory Barnett. "He has consistently been a culture driver wherever he has gone. His basketball IQ and daily commitment to the players he coaches have elevated our standard and strengthened everything we do. Kory is an elite leader whose influence goes far beyond the court. His humility, work ethic, and clarity of purpose have helped shape the identity of our program."

The 7th annual Silver Waves Media Mid-Major Coaches and GM's lists have seen numerous coaches go on to become Division 1 Head Coaches. The Silver Waves Media list has become the industry standard for excellence and the 2026 list features some of the most outstanding and impactful assistants and GM's in Division I men's basketball.

Before joining Head Coach Kory Barnett at Oral Roberts this season, Alford spent the last five seasons as the head coach at Huntington University, leading the Foresters to four consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearances and the program's first national tournament win since the 2005-06 season in 2022. The Foresters reached the round of 32 three times and secured a top-three finish in the Crossroads League on three occasions.

Before taking the helm at Huntington, Alford served as the director of player development at Nevada, where he played a pivotal role in scouting and led a recruiting effort that resulted in nearly a dozen commitments in one year. Prior to his time at Nevada, he worked in multiple roles with the basketball program at his alma mater, UCLA.
