TULSA, Oklahoma – The Oral Roberts baseball team is set to continue Summit League play at Chapman Park with a four-game series beginning with a doubleheader Friday, April 24.

Last Time Out:
The Golden Eagles are coming off a midweek loss to No. 14 Oklahoma on Tuesday evening, falling 7-6.
 
Cooper Combs opened the scoring with a first-inning grand slam, bringing home Will Edmunson, Wailele Kane-Yates, and Martell Davis, who each drew walks.
 
The Sooners responded with a home run in the second, but ORU answered quickly as Ethan Fender launched his first home run of the season down the left-field line.
 
The Golden Eagles scored their final run of the game in the fourth inning, as Kane-Yates singled to center to score Ellis, who had drawn a walk and advanced on an Edmunson single and a Makani Tanaka fielder's choice.
 
ORU starter Brenden Asher threw 4.0 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out six. Connor Johnson (0-1) was charged with the loss after tossing 0.2 innings.

Oral Roberts holds a 55-31 advantage in the all-time series against NDSU. The two teams met nine times last season, with each side winning its regular season series on the road.
 
Player of the Week:
Senior outfielder Will Edmunson earned the latest Kwik Star Summit League Baseball weekly honor, being named the Peak Performer on Tuesday.
 
Edmunson helped ORU post its fourth sweep in five Summit League series as the Golden Eagles took all three games from South Dakota State. He extended his hitting streak to 10 games after batting .500 across four contests last week.
 
He opened the week going 3-for-4 in a non-conference tilt at Central Arkansas before recording a hit in all three wins over the Jackrabbits. The Luther, Okla., native finished the SDSU series 5-for-12 (.417) with two doubles, a home run, and six RBI.
 
Edmunson had just four RBI through ORU's first 24 games before driving in 11 runs during his current seven-game RBI streak.
 
Grand Slam in Norman:
Cooper Combs made an immediate impact as the Golden Eagles faced No. 14 Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 21. The senior outfielder opened the scoring with a first-inning grand slam, his sixth home run of the season, bringing home Will Edmunson, Wailele Kane-Yates, and Martell Davis, who each drew walks.
 
Career Leader:
Sophomore starter Easton Teel continues to make his mark nationally, as the right-hander's 2.81 career ERA ranks 13th in NCAA Division I, while his 2.01 walks per nine innings rank 31st.
 
Golden Eagle Defense:
ORU's defense ranks among the nation's best, as its .985 fielding percentage ranks fourth nationally. The Golden Eagles have also turned 27 double plays this season, the second-most in the league.
