SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts catcher Wailele Kane-Yates claimed the final Star Summit League Baseball weekly honors, League officials announced Tuesday. He is joined by South Dakota State righthander Drew McDowell. It marks the second straight season Kane-Yates earned the final weekly honor of the campaign, while McDowell earned the first of his career.

Kane-Yates closed out the regular season, going 9-for-14 (.643) with three home runs and nine RBI in a series win at Northern Colorad and added two more RBI in a midweek tilt vs. Oklahoma State.

The Koloa, Hawai'I native had multiple RBI in all four games last week for the Golden Eagles and finished each game in the series vs. the Bears with three hits. He homered twice in game one and added a home run and a double in the finale.

McDowell tossed six no-hit innings for the second consecutive start, pushing his hitless innings streak to 12 heading into the postseason. The Billings, Mont., native matched a season and career-high with seven strikeouts in posting his team-best fourth win of the season.

McDowell combined with Ty Madison on the shutout as the Jackrabbits secured a 5-0 win over the Mavericks. In his last outing, the sophomore was part of a combined no-hitter vs. Buena Vista.
