MIDLAND, Texas�€"A pair of Texas Tech pitchers struck out 11 batters without a walk in a 7-4 win over Oral Roberts University at the Midland Rockhounds College Classic, Saturday at Citibank Stadium.

ORU (5-3) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Chad Rothford and Brian Aguailar led off the inning with back-to-back singles, and Pat Warfle and Brendan Duffy followed with one-out RBI singles.

Texas Tech catcher Matt Smith gave the Red Raiders a 4-2 lead with a grand slam off ORU starter Nick Jones (2-1) in the bottom of the third.

After Texas Tech made it 5-2 with a run in the bottom of the fifth, ORU closed to within 5-3 on a solo home run by Tim Torres in the top of the fifth.

ORU made it a 5-4 game on Travis DeBondt's RBI double in the top of the eighth, but Tech tacked on a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning for the final score.

Aguailar led ORU offensively, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Torres and Warfle had two hits apiece.

ORU returns to action when they host UC-Davis in the first game of a three-game series, 3 p.m., Friday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
