Sunday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
Despite
the cold weather, the Golden Eagles bats came out hot putting runs
on the board in each of the first five innings. ORU (2-0) got two
runs on the board in the first frame after Brian Van
Kirk (Southwest Ranches, Fla.) homered to left field,
scoring Jake Kahaulelio (Windsor, Calif.).

knocked in two runs with a double into left field.

third inning, Van Kirk lined a shot to left field for a double,
scoring Kahaulelio and Pat Warfle (Melbourne,

fielder, scoring Kelly Minissale (Murphy, Texas)
all the way from first. Warfle raced around the bases and beat the
throw from left field for a triple.
ORU
starting pitcher Marcus Tackett (Tulsa, Okla.)
earned the win with five scoreless innings work, scattering
MSSU€™s five hits and striking out four. The
Golden Eagles used four relievers over the next four innings.

eighth. Brett Velliquette singled to right field scoring Kyle
