LAWRENCE, Kan.Oral Roberts University men's golf team sits in
a three-way tie for third following two rounds of the Kansas
Invitational, Monday at Alvamar Golf Course.
The Golden Eagles opened Monday's morning session with a 295, and
shot 301 during the afternoon round to finis the day at 596. ORU is
tied with Houston and UNC-Wilmington, and trails leader and host
Kansas by six strokes in the 16-team event.
Individually, junior Austin Hannah (Katy, Texas)
is tied for fifth after shooting a 2-over par 146. He trails leader
Jordan Irwin of Houston by two strokes.
While Hannah is the only Golden Eagle in the top 20, ORU's other
four players all sit among the top 30 entering Tuesday's final
round.
Juniors Terrance
Begnel (Tulsa, Okla.) and Scott Stiles (Calgary,
Alberta, Canada) are tied for 21st at 6-over par 150.
Fellow junior Brett
Willis (Kettering, Ohio) is tied with Paul Moxen (Clarks Summit,
Pa.) in 29th at 7-over par.
The third and final round is scheduled to begin on Tuesday at 8
a.m.
