MACOMB, Ill.— Oral Roberts University men's golf team fired an opening round 294 and is tied for third place after day one of the Summit League Men's Golf Championships, Sunday at Harry Mussatto Golf Course.

The Golden Eagles are tied with Western Illinois, and trail tournament leader North Dakota State (285) by nine strokes. UMKC is second at 289.

Three Golden Eagles are tied for 10th after opening championship play with a 73. Terence Begnel (Tulsa, Okla.), Scott Stiles (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and Brett Willis (Ketting, Ohio) each finished the day with a 73.

Austin Hannah (Katy, Texas) is tied for 20th at 3-over par, while Garrett Moore (Broken Arrow, Okla.) is tied for 41st at 6-over par.

Tee time for Monday's second round is set for 7:30 a.m.
