BROOKINGS, S.D.-Oral Roberts took advantage of three South
Dakota State miscues, scoring six runs on eight hits to take a 6-1
victory over the Jackrabbits, Friday afternoon at Erv Huether
Field.

Trevino each had a pair of hits, with Brandon
King tallying a pair of RBI to lead ORU (22-19, 9-3 Summit)
offensively.
Mike
Torrence (4-5) got the start and the victory on the mound for
ORU, pitching seven innings, giving up just one run on seven hits,
while striking out eight batters. Joe
Spring finished off the final two innings in the victory,
giving up just one hit and striking out a pair of Jackrabbits.
Nick Andrews and Daniel Marra each had two hits for SDSU
(13-25-1, 2-7 Summit) as the Jackrabbits also had eight hits but
managed just one run as they left 10 runners stranded.
The Golden Eagles took advantage of a pair of Jackrabbit errors,
using a pair of walks and a double by Cam
Schiller to score three runs in the third. Schiller's double to
left scored Logan
Domenico for the first run of the game, and after a Trevino
single, Jared
Schlehuber walked to load the bases. King drew a walk to force
in a run and a throwing error allowed Trevino to score the final
run of the inning.
ORU made it a 4-0 advantage in the fifth as Trevino led off the
inning with a double, scoring two batters later on a King single
through the right side.
The Jackrabbits finally scored in the seventh inning using a
pair of singles and an ORU error to load the bases. Andrew Phelan
drew the bases-loaded walk to score Nick Andrews from third,
cutting it to 4-1.
ORU added some insurance runs in the eighth, loading the bases
before a throwing error scored a pair of runs to make it 6-1.
The two teams will be back in action Saturday at noon as they
play a double-header from Erv Huether field. Live stats can be
