SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Oral Roberts University baseball team begins its quest for the Southland Conference Tournament title on Wednesday morning as they face off against Stephen F. Austin in Sugar Land, Texas, at 9 a.m.

ORU (23-30, 16-11 SLC) enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed, while the Lumberjacks (28-27, 15-12 SLC) hold the No. 6 seed of the eight team tournament. The winner will face the victor between No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 7 Central Arkansas at 4 p.m. on Thursday and the losers matchup is at 9 a.m. on day two.

Wednesday's contest between the Golden Eagles and Lumberjacks features a battle between Southland Pitcher of the Alex Gonzalez (8-5, 1.76) and Hitter of the Year, Hunter Dozier. The Golden Eagles are looking for redemption against SFA as the Lumberjacks swept the regular season series in Nacogdoches, Texas.
