over the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team Friday
night.
The loss also snapped a three-game winning streak and an 11-game

Vicky
McIntyre posted the first triple-double for the Golden Eagles

Both teams struggled offensively as the Golden Eagles shot 35
percent from the field while the 'Lopes shot 24.6 percent. However,
GCU knocked down nine three-pointers and shot 36 percent from
behind the arc, as ORU made just two three-pointers on 20 attempts

The Turning Point
The Golden Eagles saw two opportunities to win the
game in the final five seconds come up empty, as Bernadett
Balla missed a jumper in the lane and Vicky
McIntyre's put back fell short with 2.5 seconds left. Grand

hit both free-throws to take a 54-51 lead.
The ensuing inbounds pass from the free-throws was knocked away
as the Golden Eagles failed to get one final shot off before the
final buzzer sounded.
