TULSA, Okla. - Grand Canyon University used a 13-3 run in the final 3:17 of the game to steal a 54-51 victory over the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team Friday night.

The loss also snapped a three-game winning streak and an 11-game home winning streak for the Golden Eagles dating back to January of last season.

Vicky McIntyre posted the first triple-double for the Golden Eagles since Trina Davis completed the feat against UMKC in 1995. McIntyre finished with 14 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks as she continues to lead the nation in boards and blocked shots per game.

Both teams struggled offensively as the Golden Eagles shot 35 percent from the field while the 'Lopes shot 24.6 percent. However, GCU knocked down nine three-pointers and shot 36 percent from behind the arc, as ORU made just two three-pointers on 20 attempts in the loss.

The Turning Point
The Golden Eagles saw two opportunities to win the game in the final five seconds come up empty, as Bernadett Balla missed a jumper in the lane and Vicky McIntyre's put back fell short with 2.5 seconds left. Grand Canyon grabbed the rebound and ORU was forced to foul as the 'Lopes hit both free-throws to take a 54-51 lead.

The ensuing inbounds pass from the free-throws was knocked away as the Golden Eagles failed to get one final shot off before the final buzzer sounded.
