TULSA, Okla. - A defensive
stop with three seconds left in the game propelled Oral Roberts
University to a 63-62 win over Eastern Michigan Saturday afternoon
in non-conference action.
The Golden Eagles led by as many as 10 points in the first
half however, Eastern Michigan went on a 13-0 to take a 25-22 lead.
EMU would go into the locker room with a 34-29 advantage at the
intermission.
The defense was able to come away with key stops in the
second half to help aid the ORU comeback, including a rebound on a
Cha Sweeney three point attempt with three seconds left that sealed
a 63-62 victory for the Golden Eagles. ORU finished with a
season-high 10 steals in the game.
Vicky
McIntyre posted her NCAA leading seventh double-double of the
season finishing with 16 points and 15 rebounds. McIntyre - also
the nation's leader in blocks and rebounds - added six blocks in
the win as ORU finished with eight as a team.
Eastern Michigan's Sweeney led all scorers with 20
points.

McIntyre's layup with 49 seconds left in the game pushed ORU in
front 62-60. The basket gave the Golden Eagles the lead for good,
as she also pulled down the game winning rebound on the final shot
with three seconds left for Eastern Michigan.

McIntyre posted her seventh double-double of the year with 16
points and 15 rebounds while adding six blocks.
Eastern Michigan: Cha Sweeney
finished with a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds.

5-of-14 and have now made 25 in their last three games.
- For the second game in a row Jayden
Oliver finished with a season-high nine points on 3-of-4 from
behind the three point arc.
- Cha Sweeney is just the sixth player to score 20 points against
ORU this season.

- ORU is 4-0 at home this season and lead the all-time series with
Eastern Michigan 1-0.
