VERMILLION, S.D. - The Oral Roberts women's basketball team makes a quick return to the hardwood Saturday against league leading South Dakota.
Saturday's game will tip from the DakotaDome at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast through Coyotes Live. Phillip Dowden's radio call of the game can also be heard at 1550 AM in the Tulsa area and around the world for free through www.ORUAthletics.com.
STORYLINES
► Oral Roberts makes a quick turnaround with a Saturday afternoon matchup against South Dakota in Vermillion. The Golden Eagles are looking to sweep the season series with the Coyotes after taking a 60-56 win in early January at the Mabee Center.
► The Golden Eagles have won five of their last seven road games and are 6-9 overall this season away from the Mabee Center. In the last two seasons ORU combined to win just four games.
► ORU is holding teams to 56.1 points per game during Summit League play, the second best mark behind South Dakota State. SDSU leads the league in scoring defense at 53.3 points per game.
► During Summit League play ORU has held teams to 60 points or fewer nine times in 12 games.
► Sophomore Kaylan Mayberry continues to lead ORU in scoring at 11.1 points per game. Mayberry also ranks 13th during the conference season averaging 13.1 ppg.
► Both Blair Bryce and Faith Ihim rank in the top 10 of rebounding during Summit League play. Ihim is averaging 7.4 boards per game while Bryce averages 7.1 rebounds per game.
► Freshman Maria Martianez ranks seventh in The Summit League in blocks per game. Martianez is averaging 1.3 blocks per game as Omaha's Caroline Hogue leads the league at 3.2 bpg.
► Sophomore Faith Ihim is just three points shy (497) of recording 500 points for her career. She would be the second ORU player to cross 500 points this season joining Kaylan Mayberry (562) and Dorottya Balla (591).
