TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team scored 20 consecutive runs Saturday in a commanding 20-4 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne in seven innings at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Ten different players crossed home plate safely, while five posted multi-hit games as the Golden Eagles offense came alive securing their first Summit League series win of the season. Isaac Coffey dominated all afternoon as the freshman went 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored in the first four innings, while Riley Keizor drove home a season-best three.

ORU scored four times in the first and second innings and broke the game wide open in the third extending the lead to 16-1 behind an eight-run frame. That cushion was more than enough for Matt Gaskins to pick up the win as the starter pitched five innings allowing just one run on five hits.

The victory was the 30th-straight at home for ORU against teams from The Summit League counting regular season and conference championship contests dating back to April 1, 2017.

Turning Point

The Golden Eagles quickly turned a one-run deficit into a three-run advantage in the bottom of the first scoring four times. Hunter Wilson and Andrew Pace each hit singles opening the game for ORU and Spencer Henson reached via error loading the bases. Coffey stepped up and delivered a two-run double down the line in left for his first hit of the day that put the Golden Eagles in front for good. Trevor McCutchin and Riley Keizor added RBI groundouts for a 4-1 lead.

Quote of the Day

"I wish we could bottle that game up and keep it for all year. I think it was one of the best all-around efforts we've had this year. The offense got going today and outside of the first inning, Matt Gaskins was good on the mound. We had a couple of big double-play balls there in the middle. So a good all-around team effort." – Head Coach Ryan Folmar

Inside the Box Score

- Coffey raised his batting average more than 80 points Saturday up to .371 totaling a career-high four hits as the Goleta, California, native did not record an out. He had four RBI in his first two at bats and posted a hit in each of the first four innings.

- Pace, Henson and Anthony Martinez each scored three times for the Golden Eagles, while Wilson, Coffey, Hunter Swift and Drew Lowe also scored multiple times. Lowe tallied the first multi-hit game of his career going 2-for-5 with a double and a RBI.
