TULSA, Okla. – Two of Blake Hall's career-high five hits cleared the fence at J.L. Johnson Stadium as his six RBI powered the Oral Roberts baseball team to a 10-7 win over Omaha Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles overcame an early four-run deficit by scoring six times in the bottom of the second highlighted by a grand slam off the bat of Hall. The Mavericks evened the game 7-7 in the sixth, but ORU quickly punched back plating a pair in the same inning as Hall delivered again, this time with a RBI single before Riley Keizor drew a bases-loaded walk making it a 9-7 contest.

The Magnolia, Arkansas, native gave ORU breathing room late in the afternoon adding his second home run and the back end of the bullpen shut down Omaha securing a series win over The Summit League-leading Mavericks, their first series loss of 2019.

Quote of the Day

"Blake Hall just continues to get better as he gets more experience. He's a guy that the ceiling is very high. He has strength, he has some power and he sees the ball well. He's got a chance to be a special player and we saw that with a couple of big swings today." – Head Coach Ryan Folmar

Turning Point

Facing a 4-0 deficit to the Mavericks entering the bottom of the second, the Golden Eagles showcased a disciplined approach at the plate drawing five walks and a hit batter, while sending 12 men to the plate. Isaac Coffey and Riley Keizor each walked to open the frame before a Jake McMurray RBI double put ORU on the board. Jack Rosenberg walked to load the bases and Anthony Martinez was hit by a pitch to plate the second run with one out. Hall stepped in and launched a 1-0 pitch high over the fence in left center as the game shifted in favor of the Golden Eagles taking a 6-4 advantage.

Inside the Box Score

- McMurray and Hunter Wilson added a pair of hits for the ORU offense and Martinez scored twice with a double to his credit. McMurray's RBI double in the second opened the scoring for the Golden Eagles and was his third-consecutive, extra-base hit against the Mavericks over the weekend.

- Henson posted a RBI single and walked twice, including an intentional walk, while Keizor reached base three times via free passes and Coffey also drew a pair of walks. The Golden Eagles walked eight times in the game and were struck out just three times.
