VERMILLION, S.D. – The Oral Roberts track and field team kicked off its indoor season Saturday, competing in the Dakota Realty Invitational, hosted by the University of South Dakota at the DakotaDome.
News and Notes
- In the men's 400 meter dash finals, the Golden Eagles tallied six of the top seven finishes. Brad Dormeus clinched a victory in the event posting a time of 48.34, winning by nearly eight tenths of a second.
- Sasha Wells picked up right where she ended last season, picking up victories in the 60 meter dash and the 60 meter hurdles, while helping the 4x400 meter relay team to a second-place finish, alongside Kayvon Stubbs, Tay'Maro Powell-Peters and Gabrielle Gibson.
- Lakelle Kinteh opened the season with a title in the long jump, missing her personal best by just 0.03m.
- The Golden Eagles picked up a pair of top-three finishes in the men's 4x400m relay, including the top-finish by Aaron Charlton, Brad Dormeus, Ethan Hanna and Cameron Neely by nearly seven and a half seconds over the second-place finishers.
