ARLINGTON, Texas – The Oral Roberts track and field team closed its weekend trip to Texas Saturday at the Bobby Lane UTA Invitational from Maverick Stadium.
Gabrielle Gibson and Sasha Wells picked up event titles for the Golden Eagles in the 100 meter hurdles and 100 meter dash, respectively.

News and Notes
-Gibson excelled all day turning in three finishes inside the top six. The Nassau, Bahamas, native won the 100 meter hurdles and added a second-place finish as the second leg of the 4x100 meter relay going with a sixth-place result in the 400 meter hurdles.

-Shalom Olotu joined Gibson with three performances in the top six placing third in the high jump, fifth in the long jump and anchored a 4x100 meter relay team to sixth.

-For the ORU men, Devin Simon ran the final leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that placed second, while also running to a fifth-place finish in the 400 meter dash.

-Joshua Tabla was the other highest finisher for the men's side as his leap of 14.13 meters earned second place in the triple jump.
