#ORUBase Releases 2023 Schedule

TULSA, Okla. – Coming off their 26th conference tournament championship and 29th NCAA Regional appearance a season ago, the Oral Roberts baseball team and head coach Ryan Folmar have announced their 55-game schedule for the 2023 season Tuesday morning. The 2023 slate features 27 contests at J.L. Johnson Stadium and 12 games against teams that made the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

The Golden Eagles open their 2023 slate with a four-game set against Northern Illinois February 17-20 at J.L. Johnson Stadium, with Saturday's contest scheduled as a doubleheader. ORU remains on the home turf for a midweek matchup against Missouri State on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The Golden Eagles hit the road for the first time Feb. 24-26 for a three-game set at Texas State, who registered a program-record 47 wins en route to a Sun Belt Regular Season Championship in 2022. Following the trip to San Marcos, Texas, ORU returns home for a midweek against Tarleton State (March 1) followed by a three-game series against Stephen F. Austin (March 3-5). 

After a midweek visit to Wichita State on March 7, the Golden Eagles return to Texas to face Dallas Baptist, a 2022 NCAA Regional qualifier, March 10-12 followed by midweek contests at Tarleton State (March 14) and Abilene Christian (March 15). 

ORU opens Summit League play March 17-19 at J.L. Johnson Stadium as they host St. Thomas. The Golden Eagles close out the short four-game homestand with a midweek against Wichita State on March 21 before making a trip to Memphis, Tennessee, for a three-game series against the Tigers on March 24-26.

Following a midweek at Missouri State (March 28), ORU returns to Summit League action for a three-game set against Western Illinois on March 31-April 2 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Golden Eagles remain at home for a midweek matchup against in-state foe Oklahoma, a 2022 College World Series finalist, on April 4. 

ORU then hits the road for the first time in league play as they travel to Omaha for a three-game series on April 6-8 before returning to Oklahoma for a midweek at Oklahoma State, a 2022 NCAA Regional qualifier, on April 11.

The Golden Eagles continue conference play with a three-game set at home against Northern Colorado (April 14-16) before traveling to face the defending Summit League Regular Season Champions, North Dakota State (April 21-23). 

Following the set against the Bison, ORU makes the return trip to Oklahoma (April 25) before opening a four-game homestand that features South Dakota State (April 28-30) followed by a midweek against Oklahoma State (May 2).

Seven of the final 10 contests of the regular season are on the road for the Golden Eagles as they travel to face Summit League foes St. Thomas (May 5-7) and Western Illinois (May 18-20) with a midweek contest against Wichita State (May 9) mixed in. To close out the regular season home slate, ORU hosts Southern Indiana for a three-game set on May 12-14. 

The 2023 Summit League Championship is set for May 24-27th in Fargo, North Dakota, where the Golden Eagles will look to capture their 27th conference tournament championship in program history.
