TULSA, Okla. – Jake McMurray drove in a season-high four runs and the Oral Roberts baseball team run-ruled midweek foe Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 11-1, in seven innings Tuesday night at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

After throwing only 1/3 of an inning in the last 1,039 days,
Trey Wolf returned to the mound and got the start for the Golden Eagles. The junior pitched a scoreless frame and struck out one.

Andrew Roach picked up his first win of the season in relief for ORU, striking out five over four innings and allowing an unearned run.
Jacob Widener struck out the side in his lone inning of work and
Sam Rainwater pitched a scoreless seventh to end the contest.

Offensively, the Golden Eagles swiped a season-high eight bags, led by a career-high four from
Jackson Loftin. The eight steals were the most in a game by ORU since 2010.

Caleb Denny opened the scoring in the first with an RBI triple to center field that plated McMurray, who led off the frame with a single up the middle. The ensuing batter,
Jackson Loftin, reached on a hit-by-pitch and later swiped second. Dylan Jutze's throw skipped past the second baseman on the steal attempt, allowing Denny to cross the plate and make it 2-0, ORU. After Loftin stole third,
AJ Archambo plated the redshirt junior on an RBI single up the middle to push the lead to 3-0.

In the second,
Connor Beichler came home to score on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 4-0. A throwing error by the UAPB pitcher allowed
Mac McCroskey to score from third, upping the lead to 5-0. Archambo plated his second run of the night with a sacrifice fly to center, stretching the lead to 6-0.

The Golden Lions got a run back in the third as a throwing error by
Brody Gibson allowed Carlos Velez to score from third, trimming the lead to 6-1.

A bases-clearing triple by McMurray in the fifth pushed the lead to 9-1. The triple was the first of the season for the junior. Two batters later, Denny brought home McMurray on a sacrifice fly to center to push the lead to 10-1.

McMurray made the final total 11-1 with a sacrifice fly to right-center in the sixth that brought home
Isaac Coffey, who reached on a leadoff double.
