TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team wraps up their four-game homestand with a midweek contest against Oklahoma Tuesday night at J.L. Johnson Stadium. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Fans may visit www.mabeecenter.com to purchase tickets. Tuesday's contest will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Adam Hildebrandt and Nick Roark on the call.

Directly following the contest, ORU Athletics will hold a postgame fireworks show.

Inside the Series
• The Golden Eagles and Sooners meet for the 81st time in their series history Tuesday night. Despite winning three of the last five contests, ORU still trails the all-time series with OU, 36-44.

• The Sooners took the first meeting between the two clubs this season, 8-2, back on April 5 in Norman, Oklahoma.

• At J.L. Johnson Stadium, the Golden Eagles are 18-14 all-time against Oklahoma.

• Head Coach Ryan Folmar is 7-9 in his career against the Sooners.

• ORU dropped their weekend series with the Bison of North Dakota State but have still won six of their last eight contests.

• Jackson Loftin had a strong weekend at the dish for ORU, going 2-for-4 in all three contests and driving in four runs. On the mound, Kaleb McCullough picked up his fourth save of the season in Friday's win after tossing three scoreless innings and striking out four.

• Caleb Denny was selected as the Summit League Player of the Week after going 10-for-19 (.526) at the plate with one home run and five RBIs. The redshirt sophomore also recorded three doubles and a stolen base. Denny became the fourth Golden Eagle to win the award this season. 

• In midweek contests, ORU is 8-3 this season.

• RHP Andrew Roach will make his seventh start of the season for the Golden Eagles Tuesday night.

• In the Summit League, ORU's offense ranks first in batting average (.285), runs (259), hits (362), doubles (71), triples (13), RBIs (234), walks (180) and sacrifice flies (21). On the mound, the Golden Eagles rank first in innings pitched (324.0) and strikeouts (346).

• Nationally, ORU enters the week ranked 22nd in WHIP (1.29), 23rd in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.86), 25th in fielding percentage (0.978), 25th in walk allowed per nine innings (3.36), 27th in triples per game (13), 29th in triples per game (0.35), 30th in sacrifice flies (21), 40th in ERA (4.17) and 40th in hits allowed per nine innings (8.28).

• Caleb Denny continues to sit atop the Summit League in RBIs (38) and is tied with Jackson Loftin for the league lead in runs scored (38). Loftin currently ranks inside the top 5 in 11 different Summit League categories. On the bump, Ledgend Smith ranks first among the conference in wins (5). Isaac Coffey leads the league in walks allowed with only nine.

• ORU was selected as the unanimous favorite to retain their regular-season crown in the 2022 Summit League Preseason Coaches' poll, garnering 36 points and all six of the possible first-place votes they could attain.

• Coffey earned plenty of preseason accolades as the junior was selected as the Summit League Preseason Pitcher of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. The Goleta, California, native also garnered Preseason All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball. Joshua Cox was selected as the Summit League Player of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. Brooks Fowler garnered Preseason Summit League Freshman of the Year honors from D1 Baseball.

Scouting the Opponent
• Oklahoma enters Tuesday's midweek on a five-game win streak after sweeping Kansas on the road over the weekend. 

• In midweek action, Oklahoma is a perfect 8-0 this season.

• The Sooners will throw LHP Braden Carmichael Tuesday night. The redshirt junior picked up the win in the first meeting between the Sooners and Golden Eagles after tossing four scoreless innings.

• Peyton Graham leads the charge offensively for the Sooners as the redshirt sophomore is hitting .344 on the year with 10 homers and 36 RBIs. The shortstop was a 2022 Preseason All-Big 12 Team selection.

• In the 2022 Preseason Big 12 Coaches' poll, Oklahoma was picked to finish sixth.
