TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts head coach Alick Musukuma announced the addition of 27 newcomers to the cross country/track and field programs on Thursday.

"We are very excited about the student-athletes we have right now," said Musukuma. "We are positive that these student-athletes are going to do well academically, spiritually and in their running careers here at ORU."

• Earned Second Team All-ASUN honors in 2022
• Won the mile run at the 2022 Marshall Invitational with a time of 4:20.13 
• Claimed two silver medals at the 2020 OVC Indoor Championships

Alexander Miller | Sprints | Canyon Lake, Texas | Smithson Valley High School

• Two-time AAU District Champion
• Claimed the title in the 800 meter run at the AAU West Coast Championship

Andrew Smithwick | Distance | Tulsa, Okla. | Lincoln Christian High School

• Named the 2022 Gatorade Oklahoma Boys Cross Country Player of the Year
• Captured the 2022 Class 4A state title in cross country with a time of 15:28.6
• Led Lincoln Christian to the 2022 team title at state
• Earned All-State honors all four years

Anthony Larin | Distance | Little Elm, Texas | Little Elm High School 

• Two-time Junior Olympic qualifier
• Claimed the AAU District title in the 5k
• Finished runner-up in the 5k at AAU Regionals

Ashley McCutchen | Sprints | Fort Worth, Texas | Southwest Christian High School 

• Finished as the state runner-up in 2021 and 2023
• Claimed the district title in 2021 and 2022
• Qualified for the Texas Relays in 2022 and 2023
• Member of the 4x400 meter relay team that broke the school record
• Earned Academic All-State honors in 2022 and 2023

Cailee Phillips | Sprints | El Paso, Texas | Franklin High School 

• Two-time district champion in the 300 meter hurdles
• Broke the Franklin High School record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.08

Camden Dooley | Sprints | Tulsa, Okla. | Lincoln Christian High School

• Helped Lincoln Christian to the 2022 Class 4A state title in track and field
• Guided the 4x400 meter relay team to the state title

Candace Kieya | Sprints | Chicago, Ill. | Elgin High School

• Ran track at Elgin High School

Hannah Claytor | Mid/Long Distance | Orlando, Fla. | Dr. Phillips High School 

• Qualified for the 1600 and 3200 meter events at the FHSAA Class 4A Track and Field State Championships
• Captured the FHSAA 4A  District 9 title in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:51.33

Hannah Vanderburg | Distance | Atoka, Okla. | Atoka High School 

• Placed fourth in the 800 meter run at the OSSAA Class 3A State Championships
• Qualified for state in the 1600 meter run

Jaxson Brooks | Mid-Distance | Claremore, Okla. | Lincoln Christian High School

• Helped lead Lincoln Christian to the 2022 OSSAA Class 4A Track and Field State Championships title
• Captured the gold in the 800 meter run at state
• Guided the 4x800 meter relay team to the state title
• Broke the school record in the 800 meter run for both indoor and outdoor

• Registered a personal best 10.6 in the 100 meter dash
• Set a personal best in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.69

Jonah Marvine | Distance | Kennedale, Texas | Kennedale High School 

• Four-time district champion in cross country
• Three-time Junior Olympic qualifier
• Two-time AAU Regional champion
• Earned All-District honors in the 800 meter, 400 meter, 1600 meter, 3200 meter and the 5k (cross country)

Judah Byrams | Sprints | Tulsa, Okla. | Victory Christian High School

• Qualified for the state track and field championships
• Claimed a gold medal at the Meet of Champions during his junior season

Kaitlin Richerson | Distance | Tulsa, Okla. | Lincoln Christian High School

• Named to the 2022 Cross Country Tulsa All-World Team
• Helped Lincoln Christian to a fourth-place finish at state

Kallista Frye | Sprints | Inola, Okla. | Victory Christian High School

• Claimed the state title in the 100 meter dash
