GREELEY, COLO.  - The Oral Roberts baseball team grabbed the series wins behind Nathan Love's quality start defeating Northern Colorado 6-4.

Love went 6.0 innings for the third time this season giving up just two hits, one walk, and struck out two batters.  It's his second shutout outing of the season with the first coming on opening day against Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

It was a "pitcher's duel" to begin game two of the weekend series, with both starters trading zeros on the scoreboard and holding both offenses scoreless after five. It's the deepest into a game where the Golden Eagles have been in a scoreless tie this season.

In the sixth the ORU bats finally came to life as they scored four times with an RBI single from Keaton Campbell, one of three hits on the day for him, an RBI double from Jack Schark in a two-RBI performance on the day, and a Owen Coil two-run homer to cap it off, his fifth of the season and second of the series.

Love would come out in the bottom half and give up a lead-off single but would then retire the next three batters faced to cap off his outing.

Right-hander Dalton Patten took over in the seventh working around some trouble preserving the four-run lead before a sacrifice fly from Martell Davis in the top of the eighth would score Campbell to stretch the lead to five.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Bears got on the scoreboard with a three-run shot cutting the lead to just two runs heading into the ninth.

In the top half, the Golden Eagles got a big run of insurance from Schark, knocking in Makani Tanaka on a single to bring the lead back to three runs. In the bottom half, UNC would score once and bring the tying run to the plate, but Patten was able to shut the door and complete the three-inning save as ORU got the 6-4 win.
