TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team and Head Coach Kory Barnett have announced the addition of transfer forward Aaron Jacob to the 2025-26 roster.

"We're excited to welcome Aaron Jacob to the Oral Roberts family," said Coach Barnett. "Aaron's enthusiasm for life, faith, and the game is contagious. He comes from a value-driven family and brings a rare blend of shooting ability, versatility, and coachability. His energy, character, and team-first mindset will be a powerful addition to our culture, and we can't wait to see the impact he'll make."

From Austin, Texas, Jacob transfers to the Golden Eagles from Cameron University. The 6-8 forward made an immediate impact in his one year with the Aggies, starting all 28 games during the 2024–25 season. He led the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game while averaging 6.0 rebounds, 0.6 assists, and 0.6 blocks in 29.3 minutes of action. Jacob shot 48.2% from the field, 38.8% from three-point range (64 made threes), and 78.7% from the free throw line.

Jacob posted several standout performances during the year, including a career-high 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting against Oklahoma Christian (Feb. 27) and a 45-minute effort in an overtime thriller at St. Mary's (Feb. 15), where he added 17 points and 12 rebounds. He also recorded a season-best 14 rebounds versus Adams State (Nov. 15) and knocked down six three-pointers in a 26-point outing against DBU (Jan. 3). In all, Jacob reached double figures in scoring 23 times and notched four 20+ point games.

Prior to Cameron, Jacob spent three seasons at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, appearing in 28 games over that span. After redshirting for the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 28 games over the next two years, averaging 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 41.7% from three.

In high school, Jacob was a highly decorated prep standout at Lake Travis High School under head coach Clint Baty. He earned All-District First Team and All-District Academic honors while serving as team captain. He was named Lake Travis's Top Gun and was recognized across multiple scouting platforms: #5 in the Tri Region Super 60, #71 Prep Hoops Class of 2021, #45 in the Texas Top 100, and #5 in the Austin Top 35 overall. He was also named a Prep Hoops Top Forward and was featured among Chaparral's Top Big Men (Class of 2021).
