TULSA, OKLA. - The Oral Roberts baseball team powered their way to a doubleheader sweep over South Dakota State behind a pair of dominant starting pitching performances.

Easton Teel went 7.0 innings in game one giving up five hits, two runs, one walk, and struck out four.  Nathan Love followed that up with his best start of the season going 6.0 innings surrendering just two hits, one run, no walks, and struck out a career-high nine batters.

In game one the Jackrabbits struck first with a two-run homer in the first inning, the 19th time the opposition has scored first on ORU.

In the third, the Golden Eagles struck back with two in the third on an Owen Coil solo homer, his third, and a Wailele Kane-Yate RBI single to tie the game.  In the fifth another pair came in on a Cooper Combs RBI double and a Makani Tanaka RBI single.

Dalton Patten was called upon out of the bullpen tossing two scoreless innings and picking up his fourth save of the season as ORU took game one 4-2.

In game two, there was no starting slow as Nathan Love retired the first seven batters he faced as the offense gave him an early 1-0 cushion.  SDSU would tie the game at one off of a solo homer, but that would be all they'd get.

ORU broke the game open in the fourth with four runs from a Martell Davis sacrifice fly and a Will Edmunson double.  Matthew Mainord would grab his first collegiate RBI on a bunt single in the fifth, and in the sixth Keaton Campbell blasted his first homer of the season.

Freshman Brendan Asher came out of the bullpen in the seventh and threw three scoreless innings in relief of Love giving up just one hit and striking out two en route to his first career save in game two securing the 9-1 victory.
