FARGO, ND. - The Oral Roberts baseball team fell short in game two behind NDSU homers and a chaotic sixth inning by a final of 8-4.

Right-hander Nathan Love tossed 5.1 giving up six hits, five runs, four earned, two walks, and struck out six batters.

The Bison got the scoring started right away yet again in the first inning, this time with the longball, as a two-run homer jumpstarted the NDSU offense early.

After the opening frame, Love started to find rhythm, including a span of four strikeouts in a row.  However, the Bison hit another homer in the fourth, making it a 3-0 ballgame.  NDSU came into the game hitting 25 home runs all season, which ranked 255th in the country.

In the sixth, things went from bad to worse for ORU as the Bison scored four times on a trio of defensive lapses by the Golden Eagles, extending the lead to seven.

However, ORU would not give up without a fight as they scored four times in the top of the seventh.  Ethan Fender knocked in a run with a single, an error allowed Fender to score, and a two-run base hit from Will Edmunson drove in Martell Davis and Tyler Brodrick.

In the eighth, NDSU got a run of insurance to put the Golden Eagles' comeback bid to bed. They blanked ORU in the top of the ninth inning. The Golden Eagles fell 8-4, and the loss sets up a rubber match on Sunday afternoon.
