SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2025 #SummitBSB All-Academic Team featured a trio of repeat honorees along with seven first-time recipients as the squad was released Monday by league officials. Northern Colorado's Jake Storey earned his second consecutive honor as the Bears led the way with a trio of honorees, while North Dakota State, Omaha and St. Thomas each had two and Oral Roberts had one to make up the 10-member team.
Joining Storey from UNC was relief pitcher Wilbur Berrios and infielder Brandon Sanchez. Regular season co-champion St. Thomas saw Joe Roder earn his second straight nod and this year he was joined by fellow Tommie Adam Puder.
Tournament champion North Dakota State had a pair of first-time honorees as Summit League Pitcher of the Year Nolan Johnson was joined by fellow hurler Reese Ligtenberg.
Omaha's duo includes repeat honoree Luke Gainer and senior Ben Weber, while ORU, who captured a share of its 22
nd regular season title, were represented by
Conner Floyd.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions, except pitchers who must have participated in 20 percent of their team's total contests.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's participating members, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and FARs. The teams are made up of ten student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
