PITTSBURG, KS. – Jordan Wenger set a new school record in the high jump for the second time this season ranking him in the top ten across the country in the event.
Wenger, who previously set a school record of 7'1.75" in January has officially toppled that record with a 7'3" jump at Pittsburg State. He grabbed first place in the process out of 15 jumpers in the event and ranks No. 1 in the TFRRS Midwest Regional rankings. He ranks above athletes from Nebraska, Oklahoma Kansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma State while fellow Golden Eagle
Woedem Vasmark-Voegborlo joins him in the top ten checking in at a tie for sixth.
In other events the men's 4x100M relay team that featured
Trey Bias,
Kenneth Ikutiminu,
Mikhi Davis, and
Elijah Burk captured second place posting a time of 42.0 seconds.
Olivia Granderson also impressed in the women's 400M dash running a 56.20 and placing fifth in a 24-runner field.
Ashley McCutchen also grabbed a top-5 finish, her's in the women's 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.80 and placing fourth of 19 runners.
