TULSA, OKLA. - The Oral Roberts baseball team split the doubleheader on Friday night with St. Thomas, capping off game two with a lopsided win.

In game one, it was all Tommies from the get-go as they loaded the bases with nobody out in the first inning, but only got one run out of the situation against Easton Teel.

St. Thomas went on to score in the next two innings as well, with one in the second and three in the third to open up a four-game lead.  ORU did strike for one in the second with a Keaton Campbell RBI single, but that would be all they'd get for the ballgame.

After a couple of scoreless frames, the Tommies came back with runs in each of the final four innings to pull away and take an 11-1 victory in game one of the doubleheader out out-hitting the Golden Eagles 16-6.

In game two, however, the story was the complete opposite as Oral Roberts got going early and never let up.  As they designated visiting as game two served as a makeup from the Twin Cities in March, ORU got two on the board in the top of the first inning with a walk from Makani Tanaka driving in a run and a ground out from Campbell to make it 2-0.

Moments later in the third, the Golden Eagles tacked on two more with a RBI double from Jack Schark and a RBI single from Tanak to stretch the lead to four.  The Tommies would put a run on the board in the fourth on a solo homer.

Scoring every other inning would continue to be a theme for ORU, breaking it open with four in the fifth.  A fielder's choice from Martell Davis, a ground out from Will Edmunson, and a single from Wailele Kane-Yates all drove in runs in the frame.

St. Thomas posted one more run in the sixth on a single, but that would be the last of the offense they'd get against Nathan Love, who went 6.0 innings, gave up four hits, two runs, one walk, and struck out four.

The Golden Eagles slammed the door shut in the seventh, scoring seven time,s highlighted by a Kane-Yates three-run homer to get over the ten-run threshold for a run-rule victory.  Jared Ure checked in for the bottom of the seventh and sat St. Thomas down to cap off a 13-2 win to split the twin bill.

-            Will Edmunson's hit streak be extended to 20 games
